ATO headquarters caught understating combat losses
In Severodonetsk, during the presentation of the “Memory Map” dedicated to those killed during the armed conflict in Donbass, employees of the Ukrainian Helsinki Community for Human Rights said that they count losses better than they do in the press center of the so-called ATO.

This was stated by Alexey Beda and Sergey Molchan, employees of the Ukrainian Helsinki Community for Human Rights, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"If you look at the purely statistical data provided by the ATO press center, then today the data is more or less true, because today there are no such large losses among the military. Although some experts claim that they present truthful information, in order not to traumatize society, they break it into parts. For example, five people died in one day, but so that society does not perceive it that way, this number is divided into a week,” Molchan said.
In turn, Beda added that there were cases when participants in hostilities were passed off as dead civilians.
“For example, when we collected data for April of this year, we encountered a case where, say, there were 16 dead combatants on our side, after verifying this data there were another +4 - these are the people who served in the volunteer battalions that are not included in the Ministry of Defense statistics,” said Beda.
