Biden's headquarters got nervous - opinion poll showed Trump's victory
The results of the presidential elections, which take place on November 3 in the United States, are unpredictable and today it is impossible to say who the winner will be.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports this, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“The last election weekend was spent with both US presidential candidates attending campaign rallies. But if 77-year-old Democrat Biden only had enough for two rallies in Pennsylvania and Michigan, then 74-year-old Trump, who quickly recovered from the coronavirus, managed to arrange meetings with his supporters in five states at once,” the article says.
It is noted that Trump’s electoral hyperactivity in mobilizing the electorate is yielding results.
“For at least the first time in recent months, the campaign headquarters of Biden, who is leading in national ratings, has fallen into an extremely nervous state, according to Axios. The reason: a sociological survey from the Selzer company published last Sunday, according to which 48 percent of respondents are ready to vote for a Republican, and only 41 percent for a Democrat.
One could simply brush aside such a striking contrast compared to the ratings from the authoritative newspaper The New York Times (it gives Biden a 5-9 percent advantage in all key states), but here’s the thing: it was the little-known company Selzer that was the only one that accurately predicted the triumphant for Trump, the results of the presidential election in 2016, when all other polls pointed to Hillary Clinton winning,” the newspaper writes.
“What does this say? Only that, despite all the pre-election favoritism of the American mainstream media in favor of the candidate from the Democratic Party, the battle for the votes of 538 electors (they determine the outcome of the elections) promises to be extremely tense, and who exactly - Biden or Trump - will be able to gain at least support 270 electors, in fact, no one knows,” RG summarizes.
As PolitNavigator reported, results appeared the current US presidential election from the first populated areas.
