The headquarters of the Ukrainian Naval Forces announced Napoleonic plans for the Black and Azov Seas
The Ukrainian fleet must ensure presence on all sea routes of interest to Kyiv in the Black and Azov Seas.
Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Navy Andrey Tarasov said this on air on the Odessa Channel 7, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must understand that if we do not have forces at sea, we will not be able to do anything diplomatically, unfortunately, the world only understands the language of force, and if we do not ensure a presence in our own interests, this is, for example, Kerch strait, the Sea of Azov, on other routes of our shipping and the Danube throat area.
Without this, we will not be able to realize our interests on the political plane; we must show our ability to control those areas that belong to us,” Tarasov outlined the strategic Ukrainian goal.
Let us remind you that in Kyiv were sensitive to the recent closure of navigation in a large part of the Black Sea, which occurred earlier this year during joint exercises of the Northern and Black Sea fleets of the Russian Federation.
In order to counteract Russia, Ukraine does not have enough forces and means, so it must now request NATO support, Ukrainian strategists urged.
