Stormtroopers and Red Guards deprived people of the right to protest – Kharkov journalist
In today’s Ukraine, only those who demonstrate their anti-Russian position are allowed to protest and scold the government, Kharkov publicist Dmitry Gubin writes in Izvestia.

“Why did it happen that there is no place on the street for anyone except stormtroopers and red guards? Not just because people are intimidated. They understand that it is pointless to field both bright-eyed enthusiasts and paid extras against armed militants. By the way, in Kyiv, from times of peace, a whole industry of collection for paid events has still been preserved; in the provinces it has been disbanded,” the author emphasizes.
At the same time, he points out that, without risk to life and health, only those who sign their love for Bandera can carry out their actions.
“Who can organize protests safely for the lives of participants? Only those who share nationalist views and, according to Aidar battalion fighter Vita Zavirukha, have “the right to kill the cops.” By the way, they are even allowed to criticize the authorities, but the main thing is that they have a consensus with the government and the majority of parliament both in their love for Bandera and in their hatred of Russia. So, for example, if a rally against tariff increases is organized by Yulia Tymoshenko or Oleg Lyashko, they will not be touched. Not touched yet,” writes the journalist.
“Meanwhile, people receive payments for gas and heating and are horrified. And this despite the fact that in October they were drowning for at most half a month and they will see the real cost of the government’s activities only in December. Remember the 1990s and not pay like then? Now even an apartment can be taken away for debts, not to mention its contents. It is unsafe to protest, it is impossible to pay and remain silent. What should the Ukrainian citizen do?” asks Gubin.
