Shufrich admitted that he spied for Bandera
Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufirich, posing as a “pro-Russian” politician, told how he used extensive connections in Russia and the DPR to spy for Ukraine.
He spoke about this at a court hearing on charges of treason, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It was necessary to step on the throat to change the position on NATO. And I will tell you why I changed my position on NATO.
I never believed that Russia would attack Ukraine. Even though everyone was talking about it publicly, I really didn’t believe it.
But on February 23, in the afternoon, I was told that in Donetsk, representatives of the DPR were purchasing more food from one of my friends. And when they asked him why, he replied that there would be a war.
I immediately reported to the National Security and Defense Council, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and someone else, so that the information would reach the state leadership as quickly as possible,” Shufrich said.
He also complained that Ukraine did not have time to respond to the intelligence information he received.
“Unfortunately, the offensive began at 16:40, and the DPR went on the offensive two hours later. That is, the information turned out to be late.
But on February 24, I clearly decided for myself that Russia is the aggressor, the enemy, and we must win,” added the prostitute deputy.
