Shufrich praised Avakov, who allows only beating, but not killing, those celebrating Victory Day
Every year, the “Day of Sorrow” on May 8 passes calmly and without provocation, but every Victory Day on May 9, nationalists beat thousands of Ukrainians.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrich said this on air on 112 Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t know of a single case where on May 8 people who respect the memory of those killed in World War II were attacked. No one! But every May 9, thousands of our people are attacked by right-wing radicals, and this is a fact,” he said.
At the same time, Nestor Shufrich unexpectedly thanked the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, for allegedly providing the opportunity to celebrate May 9, forgetting that a minute earlier he had announced thousands of attacks that law enforcement officers had not prevented.
“And I am grateful to Kiva, who is a lieutenant colonel of the police, and then the police, that he ensures the safety of people. And I am grateful to Avakov that they provide calm on this day. Because if it weren’t for the police, they would have been killed,” rejoices Shufrich.
Thank you!
