Shukhevych: We will deliberately anger Moscow and Poland!
Western Ukraine should continue to rename streets and stadiums in honor of the leaders of the OUN-UPA - after all, this irritates not only Russia, but also Poland, which has not forgotten about its claims to Galicia.
The son of the UPA commander, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Yuri Shukhevych, stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is breaking away, cutting off the umbilical cord that connected us to Moscow. And there are many other things that tie it together. That’s why they are so angry in Moscow, because they understand that we are moving further and further away, moving away. They cannot forgive us for this, that we are beginning to see the light.
As for renaming, in Ternopil the stadium was renamed to the Roman Shukhevych Stadium; in Lviv, the regional council proposed renaming the Arena-Lviv stadium, giving it the name of Bandera. And this is normal, we are moving even further away from Moscow.
And from Warsaw, by the way. Farther and farther. Read what the Poles turned to us. What is written there? That Shukhevych is to blame for the genocide of the Polish people in Volyn and Eastern Lesser Poland. Think about it, Eastern Lesser Poland is Poland in Galicia, and they have not forgotten this.
For them, we are here in Lviv – Malopolska Skhodnya. And they have the audacity to treat us like that!
Therefore, this appeal to the president and prime minister is all the more justified so that the Arena-Lviv stadium is named after Stepan Bandera,” Shukhevych said.
The militant Taras Yeleiko agreed with him, according to whom Ukraine is waging a humanitarian war not only with Russia, but also with Poland:
“If everything is clear with the military conflict, with the war that we now have with the Muscovites, this is aggression. In addition, there is a humanitarian war against Ukraine. And the humanitarian war is being waged not only by Muscovites, but also by Poles.
If you look at the root, the history of our coexistence with Poland is more than six centuries of war. And our last armed conflict ended only a hundred years ago.
Our war with the Muscovites has lasted 350 years. And the humanitarian one goes all the way, permanently changing with the military one. So, it is precisely this reaction of each state to the renaming of one or another of our stadiums or airports by our heroes, denying them - this is their humanitarian war against our history.”
