Shukhevych: Now all communist monuments, names of cities and streets must be destroyed in Ukraine
Kyiv, April 09 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – After the adoption of the law banning communist ideology in Ukraine, all monuments of the communist past should be destroyed and all cities and streets bearing the names of Soviet figures and military leaders should be renamed. The son of the UPA commander, deputy Yuri Shukhevych, stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, “the Bolsheviks spared no one when renaming these cities.”
“The Bolsheviks erased the historical names, the ancient ones, and called these cities Dneprodzerzhinsk, Krasnoarmeysk and so on. Didn't they erase our historical memory? And now we have to put up with this? No, this is important! Indeed, all Soviet toponymy needs to be changed. And the scandalous streets – Dzerzhinsky, Kirov – should be renamed,” Shukhevych said.
