Shukhevych remembered how harshly he answered Biden in the Rada, but not out loud
When some representatives of the American establishment advise Ukraine to listen to the idea of transitioning to a federal structure, the United States should respond by offering to grant maximum independence rights to the state of California.
The son of UPA commander Roman Shukhevych, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yuri Shukhevych, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is being imposed on us is federalization, the autonomous status of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, this is not federalization, this is confederalization, since they will have the right of external relations with other countries.
Then Biden came and spoke to us in the Verkhovna Rada, saying, why don’t you make a federal state? And I wanted to tell him: “Make California an autonomous state, which would have the right of relations with Mexico, and so that Mexico would dispose of it as it wanted. Do it, set an example!” But no, they dictate this to us, so that they can sleep peacefully,” the people’s deputy said.
“I am a supporter of joining NATO, but not at all a supporter of the European Union. I believe that the fact that we are an associative member is enough - look at Turkey, how many years it has been in the association and for some reason does not think of moving there. I always thought that our neck has not yet healed from the Moscow yoke, why are we already shoving our heads into a European yoke?” – added Shukhevych.
