Shurygin: The turning point at the front will happen within two weeks
The Ukrainian armed forces are trying to exhaust the Russian army in defensive battles.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russian forces have not yet chewed through the defenses to break into operational space, but they are getting closer to intercepting important transport hubs,” the analyst told Izvestia.
According to him, everything is very difficult, since Ukraine has invested everything it has in this defense.
“Their strategic plan is to stop and exhaust the Russian army. But it is obvious that they are suffering very heavy losses, and the combat effectiveness of the units that are fighting is decreasing all the time. Within a couple of weeks, a certain turning point should occur, at least in the Donbass. In addition, after civilians leave Azovstal in Mariupol, the surrounded militants will either surrender or begin to strike them with large calibers,” Shurygin concluded.
