Shurygin: Now Ukrainian “Bayraktars” are turning into an easy training target
After signing by the president Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation issued a decree on the recognition of the LDPR and instructions to prepare agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance with the republics, the military situation in Donbass will radically change not in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the entire strategy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was based on ensuring superiority in the strength and technical capabilities of its troops over the people's republics.
“With the help of foreign allies and arms supplies, they could eventually solve this problem. But against the Russian army all these efforts are useless. The same notorious “Bayraktars” are a dangerous enemy for forces that have only short-range air defense systems, but for fighter aircraft and long-range anti-aircraft systems they are just an easy training target,” Shurygin told Izvestia.
He also added that the Ukrainian army has no chance against artillery, since the Russian army is much better equipped and prepared. The expert added that Russian artillery interacts well with drones and has adjustable projectiles, and therefore in duel situations, superiority will not be on Kyiv’s side.
