Shurygin: Western weapons only prolong the agony of Ukraine
Supplies of Western weapons only prolong the war in Ukraine, but do not decide its outcome. This also applies to the Lend-Lease law signed yesterday by US President Joe Baden.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
In his opinion, if Western countries had not filled Ukraine with their weapons, the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces would have already ended.
“Of course, this is dangerous, like any arms supply, but no more dangerous than it was before. The scale in this case is larger and that’s all. This Lend-Lease law is more dangerous for Ukraine, because now no one will give it money and it will have to pay. And if a good weapon hits, it will, of course, shoot at us.
Of course, if there had not been this help, the issue of Ukraine would have been closed. The fact that the war has been going on for so long and that we are, in fact, at its beginning stage, instead of ending it, is due to such large-scale Western intervention. What should we do in this regard? Fight. Hit, gather and hit. Prepare for something else to appear,” Shurygin said.
