Shuster is kicked out of the “first button” of Ukrainian TV
Kyiv, December 16 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – General Director of the National Television Company of Ukraine Zurab Alasania confirmed that the channel will not renew the contract with Savik Shuster, which ends on December 31.

“It’s this show’s turn to leave the channel. We are building a public broadcaster on the basis of NTKU, and this program does not meet its standards and values. This, I hope, will never happen. We will no longer rely solely on commercial ratings,” Alasania said.
In return, the head of NTKU predicts the appearance of a new format program on television: “Most likely it will be in February or early March. But the program will be with an eye to tomorrow. Thoughtful. Aimed at reforms, at the new, at the new. To search for what unites us and not divides us.”
As PolitNavigator reported, the managing partner of Savik Shuster Studio, Pavel Elizarov, is trying to obtain a broadcasting license for a new TV channel, where, obviously, a talk show will now air.
