About this news agency "Crimea Media" said the head of the State Council of Crimea Committee on Information Policy, Communications and Mass Communications Sergei Shuvaynikov, commenting on the initiative of the head of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexei Chaly to cut salaries for regional officials and deputies.

“There was no need to set such high salaries for your officials from the very beginning and then lower them. This is the wrong approach. And then, I don’t think that the salaries of Crimean officials, including our Crimean deputies, are in any way greater than the salaries of officials who live on the Russian mainland. If we compare, the situation will not be in our favor. With all the extras, they get much more than we do,” the people’s representative noted.

The salary of a Crimean deputy on a professional basis, he complains, “is clearly not enough to support a family.”

“I would say it’s about making ends meet. Now my son was born, and almost my entire monthly salary was spent on buying a baby stroller, and the same salary was spent on buying everything related to the birth of my son. We are simply investing in the framework and cannot put something aside, afford some luxury, given that prices have increased enormously. Therefore, if during this period we start saving on officials’ salaries, I think this is the wrong approach,” emphasized Sergei Shuvainikov.

As PolitNavigator reported, Alexey Chaly ordered the preparation of a bill “On amendments to the law of the city of Sevastopol No. 21-ZS of 03.06.2014/XNUMX/XNUMX “On the salary of persons holding government positions in the city of Sevastopol.”

The bill significantly reduces the level of official salaries and the amount of monthly monetary incentives for deputy chairmen, directors of departments of the city government, members of the Sevastopol Election Commission, management of the Accounts Chamber, justices of the peace, chairman and deputy chairmen of the Legislative Assembly, as well as deputies working on a permanent basis.

The planned level of reduction in city budget expenditures on the administrative apparatus will be from 20 to 40 percent, including by reducing the coefficients used in calculating official salaries and monetary incentives for persons holding city government positions, as well as the abolition of bonuses and allowances.
