Experts from different regions of Russia arrived to help investigate the causes of the collapse of a section of the bypass highway in Simferopol, which claimed the lives of six people. The acting director told reporters about this at a press conference in Simferopol. Minister of Transport of Crimea Anatoly Tsurkin.

According to him, specialists from the Far East, Voronezh and St. Petersburg took part in two meetings of a special commission created by the government to investigate the causes of the tragedy.

“Today, specialists from various regions of the Russian Federation promptly arrived and actively got involved in the work,” Tsurkin said.

In addition, according to Tsurkin, the reasons why the tunnel arch collapsed under the road are also being determined by the Swedish company that installed these structures.

“Representatives of the Swedish company confirmed that they indeed supplied and installed the tunnel arch structure, but according to preliminary results, the cause of the collapse is unknown, that is, the causes will be established together with them,” added the Minister of Transport.

Recall   On September 28, a sinkhole occurred on a section of the Evpatoria-Nikolaevka bypass highway, into which a car with eight passengers fell at speed. Six people died, two more are in hospital.
