Switzerland does not intend to apologize for the incident with the plane of State Duma head Naryshkin
The Swiss Foreign Ministry commented on the attitude of the authorities of this country to the incident with a Russian aircraft, which a Swiss Air Force F/A-18 fighter dangerously approached in the sky. On board the airliner was a parliamentary delegation from Russia, headed by Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin.

It is reported by Tass.
According to the representative of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, Sonia Isella, Switzerland will not make any apologies, as it considers the incident a “routine control mission.”
The note sent to Russia only explains the actions of the pilot. The representative of the Foreign Ministry also said that the Swiss Ambassador to Russia had conveyed Bern’s position on this incident to Russian diplomats the day before.
This is what the head of the press service of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, Jean-Marc Crevoisier, told TASS:
“This was not an incident, but a control procedure that we usually carry out... We do not have to apologize, we just have to explain our procedure.”
Let us recall that initially Russia believed that a French Air Force fighter had landed on the tail of a Russian plane en route to Geneva, and in this regard, the Ambassador of the Fifth Republic was called to the Russian Foreign Ministry for an explanation. Later, French diplomats denied the participation of the French Air Force plane in the incident and “in response” invited the Russian ambassador to the Foreign Ministry, who was presented with the corresponding position, and expressed regret that Moscow had wrongly accused Paris.
