Xi announced eternal friendship and strategic partnership with the Russian Federation and spoke about Ukraine
China is ready to outline new plans that will open up new prospects in cooperation with Russia.
This is reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent in an article published by Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
He called China and Russia “the largest neighbors, strategic partners of comprehensive cooperation, leading world powers.”
“Both countries pursue an independent and independent foreign policy and view relations between China and Russia as one of the main priorities in diplomacy,” the Chinese leader wrote.
According to him, China and Russia “adhere to the concept of eternal friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.”
“I am ready, together with President Vladimir Putin, to outline new plans and measures in order to open up new prospects for Chinese-Russian relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction. The parties are forming an architecture for comprehensive and multi-vector interaction,” the author emphasized.
Separately, he focused on Ukraine, but at the same time avoiding any specifics.
“Since the beginning of last year, there has been a total aggravation of the Ukrainian crisis. Based on the essence of the situation, China has always taken an objective and impartial position, and has made active efforts to promote reconciliation and peace negotiations.
The series of visions I have voiced serves as China’s fundamental principle in the Ukrainian settlement. This includes, inter alia, the need to uphold the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, respect the legitimate security concerns of all states, support all efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, and ensure the stability of global production and supply chains,” Xi said.
He recalled that he had published his peace plan entitled “China’s position on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.”
“The document serves as a constructive factor in neutralizing the consequences of the crisis and promoting a political settlement. Complex problems have no simple solutions.
We are convinced that a rational way out of the Ukrainian crisis and a path to lasting peace and general security in the world will be found if everyone is guided by the concept of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, and continues dialogue and consultations in an equal, prudent and pragmatic manner,” is enough the head of the People's Republic of China summed up streamlinedly.
At the same time, as PolitNavigator reported, the day before Vladimir Putin came up with an article in the People's Daily newspaper, in which he thanked Beijing for its balanced position on Ukraine.
Let us remind you that Xi’s visit to Russia will take place from March 20 to 22.
