“We won’t sit next to the Russians” – the Rada adopted a Russophobic appeal to world Orthodoxy
The Verkhovna Rada adopted an appeal to the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy and the parliaments of its member states with a demand not to allow Russian representatives to participate in the 30th anniversary General Assembly of the IAP.
The corresponding document was adopted during a plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The document was presented by Verkhovna Rada deputy Bogdan Yaremenko. He said that the main purpose of the appeal is to cause further problems for Russia and prevent its participation in another international organization.
“This is our collective decision that representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refuse not only to negotiate, consult, but also to sit in the same room with those representatives of the so-called Duma of the so-called Russian Federation.
One of the committees of this organization is headed by Zatulin, the president of this organization is no-name Gavrilov, who also supported the decision to go to war against Ukraine,” the deputy said.
In turn, Solomiya Bobrovskaya complained about the “pro-Russian activities” of the canonical church and demanded that it be recognized as a terrorist organization.
“It’s time for us to recognize the Russian Orthodox Church as a terrorist organization in general, which operates here as widely as possible. And what happened in Khmelnitsky, I remember very well the reaction, the minimal reaction of our colleagues from the audience, when they beat up a guy who was a military man, and what happened then, in fact, with the church and with the indignation of the city of Khmelnitsky, how quickly all the communities converted to the Orthodox Church Ukraine.
But such things are unacceptable. The fact that today the Verkhovna Rada stands aside from this issue, so, go to your districts and see how people react and what they are saying about what is happening in the Russian Orthodox Church so far, with the continuation of no funeral services for the dead and the end of the availability of mass literature about the erosion of the foundations national security and defense,” she said indignantly.
After which, during the voting, the document was supported by 254 parliamentarians. The document was adopted and will soon be sent to the parliaments of other states.
