Siemens threatens to stop working with Russia due to the supply of turbines to Crimea
Siemens may terminate cooperation with Russia and withdraw from joint projects due to the supply of turbines manufactured by the company to Crimea, contrary to Western sanctions. This was reported by the German publication “Wirtschafts Woche” with reference to the general director of the company, Joe Keser.
It is emphasized that Siemens can withdraw both from the joint project with Russia “Siemens Gas Turbine Technology” and from participation in the Interavtomatika company.
“The task force is currently looking into all of this,” Keser reports.

Earlier, a number of media reported that four turbines manufactured by Siemens, originally purchased for Taman, were delivered to Crimea for power plants in Simferopol and Sevastopol, contrary to EU sanctions.
As Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza stated in his blog, he, together with his colleague Dmitry Tymchuk, intends to seek punishment for the German company.
“There is still one incomprehensible moment in this whole story. Absolute inaction of the Cabinet of Ministers. It feels like they don't want to deal with it. Nothing. Together with Dmitry Tymchuk we will deal with this issue,” Bereza announced.
