Sikorsky invited Ukraine to think about a draw in the war with Russia
Maintaining the current status quo at the front would be to a certain extent a victory for Ukraine, or at least a draw, but not a loss for either side.
Former Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated this at the Yalta European Strategy forum, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Sikorsky, Kyiv should think about such a draw. This would allow it to qualify for NATO and EU membership.
“Answering the question of what victory is, I completely agree with General Budanov. It's easy: yes, Ukraine gets its territory again and receives compensation. But the definition of a draw is also interesting. For example, if the conflict had been frozen on the current front line, then Ukraine would have suffered defeat because it had lost part of its territory.
But it would also be a defeat for Russia, because they would not have achieved the initial goal. Well, for Ukraine, a draw, when Russia did not achieve everything it wanted, is in a certain way a victory, because Ukraine will be a member of NATO, a member of the European Union, and we all agree that Ukraine deserved it, and before it was not allowed there.” , said Sikorsky.
