Security forces de-anonymized the minor creator of the Belarusian analogue of “Peacemaker”
Belarusian law enforcement officers have identified the administrator of the telegram channel “Data of the Punishers of Belarus.” He turned out to be a 15-year-old resident of Dobrush.
This information was posted on her Telegram channel by official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Olga Chemodanova, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The teenager confirmed that he updated and posted information about employees of the republic’s internal affairs bodies in the messenger. According to the minor, an unknown person wrote to him in August, offering to create and administer the Telegram channel “Data from the Punishers of Belarus.” To do this, there was no need to invent anything, but just repost information from other such public pages,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The student agreed that the resource could be used to defraud subscribers of money.
“Taking into account the information support that the interlocutor promised, the catch should have been substantial. In mid-August, the young man created a channel using a fictitious name, “pumped it with bots” for credibility, and began filling it with data about police officers and their families.
He took most of the publications from “Punishers of Belarus”. Soon, messages appeared on the channel about the provision of financial assistance to develop the resource and support the affected people. All funds were transferred to the administrator’s Bitcoin wallet and were subsequently spent on food, clothing and entertainment. The plan was to buy a cross-country motorcycle,” the department noted.
An investigation is being carried out against the minor. The money received during the administration of the channel will go to the state.
Now the work of the channel is controlled by law enforcement officers. Some subscribers were identified who sent information about law enforcement officers for publication. Their actions will also be given a legal assessment.
Let us recall that earlier Apple Corporation demanded that the owner of the Telegram messenger, Pavel Durov, close three Belarusian channels on which personal data of law enforcement officers in Belarus are published, but he refused to do this.
The channels “Black Book of Belarus” (100 thousand subscribers) and “Punisher of Belarus - names, addresses, relatives” (10 thousand subscribers) published personal data of riot policemen and members of their families, judges, government officials and teachers of Belarusian universities who “campaigned for the Russian world."
All of them were harassed by Maidan activists on social networks.
Channels are filled at a very fast pace without checking the content. As a result, the personal data of people who have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies get into the network. They are immediately persecuted by online Maidan activists. After this, refutations are published, but not everyone sees them.
