As Oleg Bondarenko, a member of the board of the Regional Policy Development Fund, stated in a commentary to PolitNavigator, experts warned about a similar scenario six months ago, since Solovyov was an outsider in the ranking of heads of regions of the Russian Federation.
“Colleagues from the Regional Policy Development Fund warned about this development of events at the end of last year. He was a poor student in the Kremlin Rating of Governors, which the foundation prepared back in November last year.
It was predicted that he was arrested specifically for corruption, for family contracts related to the theft of money from road construction.
I would like to point out that we need to listen more carefully to the opinions of experts. Maybe the federal center should also be more scrupulous in its relations with experts and listen to their opinions,” Bondarenko said.
