Siluanov and Nabiullina found an intercessor in the person of Budanov
It is wrong to blame Russia’s economic problems only on the Sislibs: the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
The head of the laboratory of the Institute of Economic Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Igor Budanov, stated this on the Red Line TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we talk about what is happening in the country, for some reason we say that something is wrong in the Ministry of Economy or the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank. These are not decision makers. These are people who serve decisions that have already been made. And decisions are made by other people - and according to other criteria,” Budanov said.
He also criticized Russia's largest monopoly, Gazprom.
“What has he done in 30 years? Has the country become richer or poorer as a result of his activities? Let's evaluate the entire volume of resources that he extracted for free at today's prices and compare it with the revenue that he received over these 30 years. Whether he ruined the country or increased its wealth. Perhaps, indeed, the most valuable thing he did was finance the Zenit club,” Budanov concluded defiantly.
