Siluanov proposed to transfer all officials to Russian Ladas
The state must stimulate the production of goods that will replace imports.
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said this today, speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In conditions when we need to produce more of our own goods that were previously imported, we are ready to take on certain risks in the sale of these goods. The state can say: let’s produce an airbag in the Lada, we will provide you with demand.
Produce window lifters - we will provide you with demand. For a business, the most important thing is that after producing a product, it has the opportunity to sell it and receive the appropriate money. The state must act in this vein,” the minister noted.
As an example, he cited the production of Lada cars, which now, having lost some of their equipment, have increased in price.
“It’s not the state that will buy airbags for the Lada.” The state will ensure the operation of the enterprise so that this business is sustainable and has prospects,” Siluanov said.
As an option, he suggested transferring all officials to Ladas.
“If we transfer government workers to Ladas...” Siluanov began, but was interrupted by the presenter, reminding him that such a step with the Volgas had not worked out.
