The mayor of the city, Viktor Ageev, stated this during a “hot line” with residents of the Crimean capital.
According to him, the monument will appear at the famous “Cross” - the intersection of Karl Marx and Pushkin streets, and its project is already being developed.
“According to the project, there will be a monument to our self-defense and to the people who actively participated in the referendum. The people who made it possible for Crimea to return to Russia. We are finishing the project today and will definitely submit it for public discussion. I hope the residents of Simferopol will like it and give their approval,” said Viktor Ageev.
