Simferopol, December 19 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Residents of the Crimean capital remind the authorities of the need for urgent repairs of the Bypass highway, the failure of which led to traffic congestion in the city center during rush hour.

“I would like to appeal to our authorities with a request to keep their word and not shelve the serious problems of the peninsula. One of these is the collapsed Bypass road in Simferopol, on the Dubki - Mirnoe section. The destroyed area is still in the same ruined state. As a taxi driver and driver with extensive experience, I will say: this is a very popular route, and now, due to the collapse, it has been blocked, and there are many more traffic jams in the city. This is noticeable to everyone,” taxi driver Oleg Alekseev writes in the Crimean Time newspaper.
The authorities’ promises to repair the Bypass remained just that: promises:
“Officials said that they would urgently repair it, but so far nothing is happening there; after the tragedy, the issue with the route was “frozen.” I hope that the Obezdnaya will not become another abandoned road in Crimea, and we have many of them. They built it, it fell apart, they swore to fix it, they forgot – a standard cycle. I understand everything, the Crimean authorities now have their hands full and can’t get their hands on everything, but this is one of the primary problems of the city,” emphasizes Oleg Alekseev.
