Simferopol airport is preparing to receive evacuees
Simferopol International Airport can begin receiving planes with citizens of the Russian Federation evacuated from abroad.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor for the region, Natalya Penkovskaya, announced this at a meeting of the headquarters for combating coronavirus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Penkovskaya, a ship from Greece also entered the port of Yalta, carrying two Russian citizens who will be sent for observation.
“In addition to this... all persons who come from abroad, at the point of crossing the state border, at the checkpoint in this region, are placed in an observatory. As of today, there is no decision that such aircraft will land on the territory of Simferopol International Airport, but our observational capacity must be ready to be deployed in this case,” Penkovskaya said.
Let us remind you that today 16 cases of infection with a new strain of coronavirus were registered in Crimea.
