Simferopol airport is growing with charters
Simferopol airport will receive 15 destinations next winter. This is five directions more than last year. The number of airlines will increase from 8 to 9.
The airport's public relations director, Igor Laptev, stated this today on the Crimea-24 TV channel.
“We see that the demand for travel to Crimea by air in winter continues to persist. A destination like Voronezh has appeared, new airlines have arrived,” Laptev said.
The largest number of flights (20 per day) in winter will be carried out to Moscow. In addition, the number of flights to Rostov-on-Don will increase to 5 per day.
This year, for the first time, charter flights will fly to Simferopol in winter: 2 per week from Moscow and 2 from St. Petersburg.
“For the first time in the history of the airport, during the winter season, a tourism operator put charter flights on our route. He predicts an increase in demand of more than 20%,” Laptev said.
Last summer, Simferopol airport received flights to 60 destinations. This is the largest route network among regional airports in the Russian Federation.
