The Simferopol region is suffering from flooding - the roads are cracked
Simferopol and its suburbs continue to be flooded by the overflowing Salgir. The discharge of water from the Simferopol reservoir along the river bed continues, and the water level has risen by more than 1,5 meters, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
More than 130 houses remain flooded. In the village of Komsomolskoye, rescuers are taking residents out of flooded courtyards on boats. Otherwise, they will not be able to cross the streets that have turned into canals.
“In the village of Komsomolskoye, Simferopol district, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan are organizing the transportation of people to dry areas for timely departure to work,” said Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergei Sadakliev.
The night before, rescuers rescued children stuck on the bridge over Salgir. While they were looking at the rapid flows of water, its level rose significantly, and the children were unable to get out on their own.
In the Dobrovskaya Valley, in the villages of Trudovoye and Stroganovka, the water level has decreased. Flooding remained in the villages of Ukromnoye, Novoandreevka and the town of Gvardeiskoye.
“Water discharge from the Simferopol reservoir is decreasing every hour. Consequently, the flooding zone will shrink,” said Denis Kratyuk, head of the Simferopol district administration.
Near the bed of the Salgir, the base of the roads was washed away. In some places the road surface sank and began to crack. Failures are possible.
The worst situation is with water supply. The Istok pumping station in the Belogorsk region was completely flooded. About 17 thousand residents of Belogorsk were left without water. Pumping stations in the villages of Kirpichnoe and Vishenny were flooded and lost power.
In the Simferopol region, the Kashtanovoe pumping station remains without electricity.
In Pionerskoye, the high water level in Salgir does not allow work to begin to restore the destroyed pipeline. Water will be delivered by water trucks according to schedule.
