“Today, in the case of March 9th (Rally for the Birthday of T.G. Shevchenko), the Simferopol Court of Appeal changed the punishment for the organizer of the action, Leonid Kuzmin, from 40 hours of community service to a fine of 10 thousand rubles ($202),” – he wrote.
Let us recall that in early May Leonid Kuzmin announced the creation of a Ukrainian cultural center in Crimea. In mid-April, Kuzmin, according to him, was beaten by some young Ukrainophobes in Simferopol. In March, the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of the Crimean capital sentenced Leonid Kuzmin to 40 hours of correctional labor for the unauthorized use of Ukrainian symbols at the Shevchenko rally.
