A Simferopol court sentenced Maidan activist Kostenko to 4 years and 2 months in prison

Former policeman Alexander Kostenko, who in February 2014 inflicted bodily injuries on a Berkut employee during Euromaidan in Kyiv, was sentenced by the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol to 4 years and 2 months in a general regime colony.

According to the state prosecution, which was represented by Crimean prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya, the defendant threw a stone at an employee of the Crimean Berkut unit, who was protecting public order in Kyiv on February 18, 2014 in the Mariinsky Park near the building of the Supreme Council of Ukraine.
Alexander Kostenko also did not have permission for the rifle barrel that was kept at his home in Simferopol.
