The tit of the world fluttered out of Poroshenko’s hands
Poroshenko had every opportunity to end the conflict in Donbass back in 2014, but he chose the military path, and now he has the audacity to apologize.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrych stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I consider Poroshenko my personal competitor, a competitor of the entire Ukrainian people. His cynical "apology" for the fact that the ATO did not end in a week - my indignation knew no bounds. At the time when he received power from the Ukrainian people, but formally Turchynov transferred power to him, at that time there were 57 people killed in Donbass. The hryvnia was nine, the Donbass economy was integrated into the Ukrainian economy, the GDP was about $170 billion,” Shufrich recalled.
“I was outraged as a citizen, as a person who was in Donbass with Turchinov’s mandate, and then with Poroshenko’s mandate, together with Medvedchuk, Kuchma, Tagliavini, with the Russian ambassador, with representatives of the LDPR, and Poroshenko had the world in his hands!” - said the people's deputy.
“Four months, and we could finish this with minimal concessions. And after making people six times poorer, when tens of thousands of people died, a person comes out and says: “Sorry, we had the ATO for four years, and now the OOS! Well, it didn’t work out!” What should I say to the people who died? – Shufrich was indignant.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier ex-ATO militant Ilya Kiva directly stated that Poroshenko's team personally expelled his whole bright nationalist idea.
