Compared to “democratic” Belgium, “totalitarian” Belarus looks like a quiet European country.
Such impressions from visiting one of the EU capitals during a round table in Brussels “Minsk-2 or war: challenges to resolving the conflict in Eastern Ukraine” were shared by the Belarusian political scientist, head of the ECOOM analytical center Sergei Musienko, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Middle Ages came to Europe. I don’t hear as many sirens in a day as I heard in Brussels in Minsk in a year. And machine gunners near the school... Of course, security is important, but it can be solved by other methods,” Musienko emphasized.
