The Syrian campaign has turned the Russian army into the strongest in the world, expert
On the battlefields with terrorists in Syria, Russia tested its weapons and military strategies, corrected mistakes and turned into the strongest army in the world.
Military expert Alexander Zapolskis stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For us, participation in the Syrian events was at first a serious “cold shower.” When we were faced with the fact that our adopted military strategy, operational-tactical level, how exactly troops should act, how to plan an operation, how to prepare it, carry it out, where to shoot, how to transport it, and so on, how quickly to react to what, how much there must be headquarters in the intermediate level... It turned out that this does not work. It's not that it doesn't work at all, but that it doesn't work very well.
We first tested the existing weapons, and, as is known from open sources, there were three such thick books of comments on them. Then we tested new weapons - almost every one, after six months of testing in Syria, was returned for deep modification.
But now we have, one might say, the best army in the world,” Zapolskis said.
