“The situation is critical. Ukraine may not exist”: Lutsenko from Artemovsk
Ukraine urgently needs maximum mobilization, because the situation at the front has again become catastrophic and the existence of this country is at stake.
Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, who is in Artemovsk, stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The trenches are knee-deep in mud, rain. These are trenches in a former city dump - you can imagine what’s floating there, there are constant 24-hour shooting battles and artillery shelling. And this happens four days before rotation in this trench. Sometimes seven days. A person stands there in hellish conditions, and this happens for a month, two, three. I saw people who have been here for the fourth and fifth month.
Where am I leading with this? We need to understand that we need additional mobilization so that these people can be taken out for at least some kind of rest. I’m not even talking about losses - I’m not authorized to talk about this, but we pay a very high price for the inaccessibility of the Ukrainian fortress Bakhmut,” the politician said.
He claims that the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces has “changed critically.”
“And this is the main thing that I want to say while there is a connection. Honestly, I don’t understand why the highest political leadership of the state today does not make an appeal to society, because it has become obvious that after mobilization, Putin has at least 300-350 thousand recruited and even partially trained mobilized orcs.
After Gerasimov’s appointment, we have under his leadership another 200 thousand so-called conscripts. That is, today there is a horde around Ukraine, at least two and a half times larger than in February last year.
Yes, they have less equipment, and this is a war of artillery, yes, they have fewer tanks, they have fewer shells... But, nevertheless, a horde of half a million is a very serious challenge, and today we must announce maximum mobilization not only front, but also rear.
And today there is no reason why a person can hide from mobilization, because the country he is counting on may not exist. Today the situation is again so critical,” Lutsenko said.
