Situation at the front: A major, possibly general battle is being prepared
Despite the bitterness loss of the cruiser "Moscow", the most important thing in the Ukrainian campaign is now happening in the Donbass, where preparations are being completed for the largest battle that will begin in the coming days.
The latest news about the progress of the special operation in Ukraine for PolitNavigator is analyzed by Colonel Gennady Alekhin, a military officer, comrade-in-arms of the legendary General Troshev, member of the Russian Writers' Union.
...Surrender is an invariable attribute of any conflict. When a mass surrender occurs, it is a significant event. The day before, in Mariupol, over a thousand Ukrainian marines of the 36th brigade laid down their arms. Among them are 162 officers, 45 female soldiers, 151 wounded. Days earlier, servicemen from different battalions of the brigade came out with their hands raised. There were over 250 Marines in this party, many in civilian clothes. The very first party (several dozen people) was a rather pitiful sight: angry, hungry, in complete prostration.
Apparently, finally realizing that there is no one to expect help from, the hodgepodge team of several units decided to make a breakthrough. A group of up to 100 Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel in armored vehicles intended to fight their way out of the enterprise and leave Mariupol in a northerly direction. The attempt was thwarted by air and artillery strikes. The Ukrainian side lost up to 50 personnel, 3 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles, and 7 vehicles. Another 42 soldiers voluntarily laid down their arms and surrendered.
The main propaganda mouthpiece of the Kyiv junta, Aleksey Arestovich, began to ring through all information resources:
“There was no surrender of 1026 Marines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade, and everything that happened was a “cunning plan” of the leadership so that “as a result of a complex and very risky maneuver,” the Marines would break through and link up with the Azov regiment, strengthening the defense line.”
And again he screwed up, just like in Bucha and Kramatorsk. Video footage from the television group of Alexander Sladkov (Russia-1), with comments from the prisoners themselves, quickly spread across all media resources, including social networks. Even Western television channels (BBC) and reputable print media have lifted the “information curtain”. And this is what infuriates Ukrainian propagandists most of all.. That is why they, knowing the true situation well, are trying to come up with new horror stories and fables.
And what – the Ukrainian audience still believes. But the West is beginning to doubt. But the guidelines of NATO curators continue to apply. You can expect new, most sophisticated fakes and stuffing. The White Helmets have not yet shown themselves.
In connection with the events in Mariupol, where a complex cleansing operation is being completed, the question of the presence of mercenaries and instructors (curators) of the intelligence services of European countries remains “open”. Different numbers and countries are mentioned. They tried to pull them out from the air (by helicopters), by sea (by ship). Even the leaders of France and Austria communicated on this matter behind closed doors. In my opinion, we will not see foreign instructors. They are simply liquidated by Azov nationalists. Who needs witnesses with valuable information? Although, in war, various “surprises” happen.
For example, vigilant guys from the DPR special services identified a British mercenary among those who surrendered. Aidan Aislin, known as “Kozak Gundi,” said he was running out of food and ammunition, adding that he and his “colleagues” had no choice “but to surrender to Russian forces.” At one time, Aislin managed to take part in hostilities in Syria, where he joined the detachments of Kurdish militants.
The mass surrender in Mariupol is undoubtedly a landmark moment. This happened eight years ago, under Turchinov and Poroshenko. Now Zelensky has “tasted to the fullest” such concepts as “zrada” and “peremoga.” It's only the beginning…
Another feature characteristic of the current situation is the regrouping of forces and means in the area of the Donbass arc, in the direction Sumy-Kharkov-Nikolaev-Odessa. For several days the situation at the front remains without significant changes. Positional battles continue in the area of Popasnaya, Marinka, the encirclement ring around Severodonetsk is shrinking, the zone of control on the outskirts of Rubezhnoye is expanding, the bridgehead is expanding in the area of Kamenka, Slavyansk, Balakleya (the border of the Kharkov and Donetsk regions), and the activity of the warring parties in the direction of Odessa-Nikolaev.
But the main sign of the last two weeks is the regrouping of troops. First of all, units and units of the Russian Armed Forces. Moreover, from different directions. Once again I would like to remind you that regrouping troops is not a quick and responsible process. Move troops during combat operations, while solving the tactical, operational and strategic tasks of the troops - the lot of professionals, not “armchair experts and strategists.”
We must finally understand, think and weigh before talking nonsense. Unfortunately, we have enough jingoistic patriots who are making noise in the media space, especially on social networks. They say, “the public should know”, “it is necessary to inform why they left Kyiv and Chernigov”...
Another thing is that we need to carry out thoughtful, explanatory, concrete work with the population, especially in border areas. Here, as they say, is an “unplowed field.” But interfering and giving advice to the military is stupid and absurd.
One thing is obvious - a major, possibly general battle is being prepared. Everyone understands this, including the leadership of the Kyiv regime. And the further solution of the military and political tasks of the special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine, including the territorial and state structure, depends on the outcome of the battle.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief once again recalled this when visiting the Vostochny Cosmodrome on April 12. Vladimir Putin emphasized:
“The operation in Ukraine will continue until it is fully completed and the goals set at the very beginning are achieved” (February 24, 2022).
And one more feature. After the completion of the combat phase of the special operation, issues of arranging peaceful life will come to the fore, first of all, in the liberated territories. Such problems are already arising very acutely. For example, in Kherson, Zaporozhye, in some areas and settlements of other regions. And here, quite justifiably, there is some confusion, even fear and anxiety among civilians. Everyone is worried about one question - what will happen next?
Let's face it, different moods reign. The mayor of Kakhovka (Kherson region) left the city. The leaders of Oleshek and Skadovsk followed his example, as soon as the Russian army took control of the settlements. Their place was taken by local activists who took an active part in the formation of military-civil administrations. With the support of the military, the Makhnovshchina ended, and the number of fighters for Square decreased sharply. The ruble is now in everyday use, Russian TV channels have started working, and trade with our Crimean neighbors is being established.
Regarding provocations and all sorts of rumors that “the arrival of the Russians is temporary” - there is a place to be, there is nothing to hide. This is where the work of the relevant law enforcement agencies began. Methodical, clear, planned. Without fuss and unnecessary noise. The formation of military commandant's offices (administrations) is also an integral part of the overall plan. But everything will happen systematically, as the military completes its assigned tasks.
Thank you!
