The situation in Ukraine is getting worse. DPR takes unprecedented measures
There is every reason to predict that the situation with the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine will worsen.
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a correspondent for PolitNavigator, writes about this in his Telegram channel.
“There is every reason to believe that the situation with the incidence of coronavirus in Ukraine will worsen, including due to the massive return of Ukrainian citizens from Italy, Spain, Poland and other European countries, where thousands of infected people have already been recorded. Taking into account these circumstances, in order to prevent the penetration of coronavirus infection into the territory of the Republic, a decision was made to completely stop the movement of citizens through the border and customs control points of the Donetsk People's Republic on the border with Ukraine from 00:00 on March 21, 2020,” informs Pushilin.
He clarifies that residents of the DPR located in Ukrainian-controlled territory still have time to return home.
“Please note that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that those who return are under medical supervision. At the same time, I emphasize that at the moment not a single case of COVID-19 has been registered in the DPR,” added the head of the DPR.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine became the world leader in mortality from cornavirus.
