In serious aggravation in the Syrian province of Idlib, where as a result of fighting yesterday several dozen Turkish soldiers were killed, the Turkish military command is to blame.
Military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
According to him, the situation in Syria is moving towards war, but further escalation can be stopped if Turkey fulfills its obligations and refuses to support radical militants.
“The blame lies entirely with the Turkish military - Turkey did not fulfill the obligations that it assumed, did not separate the moderate militants, pro-Turkish, from the radical Islamists, who are outright terrorists. Turkish special forces, numbering more than a thousand people, operate in the battle formations of terrorist organizations. Naturally, terrorists are attacked, and as a result, Turkish military personnel, who are infiltrated there and direct the actions of the militants, are also killed.
And since Turkey does not notify either Russia or Syria where Turkish military personnel are at a particular moment in time and in what places, naturally, we strike at the militants, the Syrians strike at the militants - as a result, Turkish military personnel are killed. The responsibility lies XNUMX% with the Turkish military command. Will this result in more serious incidents? I would like to believe that it will not, but the situation is developing in the direction of war,” Korotchenko said.
The expert also considered it nonsense statements by Ukrainian nationalists that Ukraine needs to support Turkey in a war in which Russia will indirectly participate, so that in this way weaken her and try to bring her back Crimea and Donbass.
“Ukraine is inadequate, Ukrainian statehood, almost 30 years after its construction, is falling apart, the leader of the state, President Zelensky, acts as a political tap dancer, gives sessions of political tap dancing, everyone looks at this and understands the level of degradation, the fall of both Ukraine and its leader. Russia is not involved in operations against Ukraine. It is pointless to comment on the nonsense that the “Nezalezhnaya” political consciousness carries. These people are sick, the state, which is actually fake, called Ukraine, is sick. It’s useless to comment on this,” Korotchenko concluded.
