The situation in Serbia is escalating: Maidan workers are preparing tents

The Serbian opposition wants to completely repeat the Ukrainian coup scenario: for this, the leaders of the “Union for Serbia” have already purchased tents and plan to pitch them in the center of Belgrade, paralyzing the capital and the work of government institutions.

This was reported by the Serbian portal Alo with reference to a closed source. This should happen in the coming days, perhaps even on Saturday, April 13, during the previously announced large-scale rally, where opponents of President Aleksandar Vucic intend to bring their followers from all over the country.

The source of financing is clear - it is the same as in the case of other “color” revolutions, and is located in the West. The main task is to undermine the work of all state institutions and force resident Vucic to leave his post. As PolitNavigator reported, the opposition had previously rejected participation in early elections, having previously declared the election campaign rigged. (However, the real reason seems to lie in the fact that sociologists record the high rating of the party in power and the scanty popularity of the Maidan activists).

“Our sources warn that the decision of the Union leaders to resort to radicalization of protests by setting up tents on the main streets and similar actions shows that they agreed that our country will be just one of a series of testing grounds for political and intelligence experiments of Western centers. They want to establish an elite in Serbia that would unacceptably accept all their demands, including the acceptance of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Serbia’s entry into NATO,” the portal writes.

The expert in the material was Bozidar Spasic, a former employee of the State Security Service, who claims that the Belgrade Maidan activists have clear obligations to Western sponsors.

“This means that they will do everything for Serbia to join NATO. Do you see that all the NATO lobbyists in Serbia suddenly disappeared, everyone is silent, because this job has now been taken by the opposition, and the lobbyists are waiting to see what they will do. Kosovo means nothing to them, on the contrary, they even believe that our disagreement is the most suitable for the enemies of Serbia,” said the intelligence service veteran.

He suggested that the authorities would make efforts to disrupt the opposition's scenario.

“The opposition wants to capture Belgrade on April 13, but they won’t do it, although they are working hard, they have already purchased tents, as well as regular so-called headquarters in which the “chiefs” will sit,” says Spasic.

At the same time, one of the opposition supporters, the mayor of the city of Sabac, Nebojsa Zelenovic, in an interview with an Al Jazeera TV channel correspondent in Serbia, noted that all outbreaks of violence at opposition rallies are unplanned, and therefore uncontrollable. And he accused President Vucic of provocations, who is bringing the police to the protests.

When asked how the opposition sees the further development of the situation, he replied that the leaders of the “Union” have a plan, but not everything can be controlled well.

And he indirectly confirmed that the protesters intend to take a new path. “Despite the government’s obstacles, it is expected that the protest on April 13 will gain a large number of supporters, and then everything will move to a new phase,” Zelenovich said.
