The situation in Syria is not developing in favor of the West - Moscow explained the reasons for the US demarche in the UN Security Council

Senior researcher at the Center for Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Konstantin Truevtsev, announced this today at a press conference in Moscow.
“The situation began to develop not in favor of the West. The American airstrike on Syrian troops in Deir ez-Zor was a deliberate act. They apologized, but there followed a strike on a humanitarian convoy, and then media promotion of the situation with accusations against Russia. All this is a reaction to the successes of the Syrian army in Aleppo. This puts the world on a dangerous brink. Leaving the UN hall is a demarche not only to Syria, but also to Russia,” Truevtsev said.

Representatives of Great Britain, the United States and France left the UN Security Council meeting room as soon as the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the UN, Bashar Jaafari, began his speech.
Jaafari noted that Western members of the Security Council convene emergency meetings “every time the defeat of armed terrorist groups is near,” and also called what was happening at the meeting at the UN a theater of the absurd.
