Albanian separatists, who illegally seized the region of Kosovo from Serbia, adopted a resolution in the local “parliament” in Pristina accusing official Belgrade of genocide of the local Muslim population. This is how the Kosovars interpret the struggle of the Serbian authorities to preserve the territorial integrity of the country against gangs of Albanian terrorists who massacred the population of the region disloyal to the separatists in 1998-1999.

“About one million Albanians were expelled and about 12 civilians of all nationalities, most of whom were Albanians, were killed,” declared Bilal Sharifi, a member of the Social Democratic Initiative party, as quoted by the Kosovo newspaper Koha Ditore.

“In 1999, Serbian forces carried out more than 100 massacres in Kosovo, in some cases people were burned alive, for example in Breznik, Mitrovica, Podujevo, Djakovica... During the Kosovo War in 1998–1999, sexual violence was committed in Kosovo in against more than 20 people,” added Sharifi, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The resolution was supported by 79 members of the separatist “parliament”; not a single Kosovo politician decided to openly oppose it, RTK2 reports.

Representatives of the Serbian community demonstratively boycotted the meeting.

Earlier, “speaker” Kadri Veseli sent a number of letters to deputies of “Kosovo-friendly states” calling on them to support this resolution. Also in Pristina, the “Genocide Museum” and “Memorial to the Victims” are being prepared for the opening by the Albanian population.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with RTS that Belgrade will take reciprocal steps.

“Some peoples in the Balkans cannot find their way to the future. The only path they see is hatred of the Serbian people. And she does not allow them to get down to work, business, trade, economics. Some people just put on suits, put on ties and just walked out of the forest, and it’s clear why they say that,” Vucic said, hinting that the power elite in Kosovo consists of former fighters who participated in the massacre of Serbs.

Vučić expressed regret over the lack of reaction from Europe and other Western “guarantors” of a peaceful resolution of the dispute over Kosovo. The decision of the separatist “parliament” became a new link in a whole chain of provocative steps taken recently in Pristina.

The Kosovars, contrary to the UN Security Council resolution, are trying to legalize their armed forces as an army and take part in NATO exercises, refuse to form Serbian municipalities and, most importantly, have introduced a blockade of Slavic enclaves, announcing a 100% duty on goods from Serbia.

“When you enter the next stage of political madness and blindness, you can no longer find a way out,” Vucic noted.

“We will have to react, and I think that some general acts will be adopted by parliament and the government. We must be restrained and responsible, and not lose the trust that, as serious people, we have in the international community,” the president emphasized.

Vučić drew attention to the fact that, in parallel, the separatist authorities of Kosovo are initiating persecution of representatives of the Serbian community under the pretext of accusations of corruption.

“They want to arrest 26 Serbian policemen from the north of Kosovo and 15 others under the pretext that they were involved in corruption and other similar matters, so that Mitrovica remains unprotected and they can commit the most dirty acts against our people,” Vucic said.

In addition to the above facts of persecution of the Serbs, the Albanians began to terrorize local Serbian politicians, who are subject to intimidation.

The day before, information appeared that a car belonging to a member of the Serbian List party, Milos Perovic, was burned at night in the center of the city of Zubin Potok. The information was confirmed by the representative of the Kosovo police in the Northern region, Lieutenant Branislav Radovic.

And this is not the first case of such attacks by Albanian radicals.

In April, in the same city, a bomb was thrown into the courtyard of the Perovic family home.

And since 2014, this is the 40th car that has burned down due to arson in Serb-populated areas.

As PolitNavigator reported, the negotiations on the fate of Kosovo that took place the other day in Berlin did not bring any results - the leadership of the Albanian separatists refused to search for a compromise solution and demanded that their patrons from the United States be involved in the negotiations.

Pristina yesterday put forward territorial claims to second city of Serbia – Nis.

During a visit to Moscow, Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin said that NATO is arming Albanian terrorists.

Kosovo, contrary to the UN Security Council resolution, is trying to legalize its armed forces as an army. Separatist units take part in NATO exercises for the first time.

The United States needs the Greater Albania project in order to have control over transport and energy corridors in the Balkans, say representatives of the Serbian Foreign Ministry.

In recent months, street protests by local opposition have intensified in Serbia demanding the overthrow of President Aleksandar Vucic. According to observers, the street protests are incited by the West to pressure on the Serbian authorities during negotiations on the fate of Kosovo.

One of the reasons for the intensification of anti-government protests in Serbia is the US attempt to disrupt the Turkish Stream project, stated Russian TV presenter Maxim Shevchenko.

Experts believe that if the Maidan in Belgrade is successful, All Russian projects in Serbia will be under threat.

At the end of last year, the Kosovo authorities also imposed a virtual blockade on the supply of goods from Serbia to the Slavic enclaves. Pristina's actions constitute genocide against the Serbian population, said Russian State Duma deputy Pavel Dorokhin.

The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned actions of the authorities in Pristina.

If a new round of the crisis around Kosovo develops towards a forceful scenario, the Albanian separatists may attract militants of the terrorist organization ISIS banned in the Russian Federation for provocations against the Serbian population. Russian experts warned about this in their report.

Serbia is awaiting the visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Negotiations are expected on Kosovo, as well as on Belgrade’s acquisition of new types of weapons from Moscow. Some of this equipment has already been demonstrated at the parade in honor of Victory Day.
