The attack by Ukrainian troops on the Belgorod region was caused by the lack of a tough response from Russia to previous provocations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the expert, to prevent such situations from reoccurring in the future, it is necessary to create border covering troops that could quickly identify and destroy enemy DRGs.
“In this region, these are obvious things, border coverage is not properly ensured. That is, our border guards can catch sabotage and reconnaissance groups, but now it was no longer a sabotage and reconnaissance group, but a full-scale reconnaissance in force, a purely military operation that the border guards cannot fend off. In order to stop this threat, it is necessary to create an appropriate border control system, which is not effective enough there,” the expert said.
He is convinced that the question is about creating and deploying an additional group of troops to cover the border.

This became possible because the Russian leadership reacts completely indifferently to attacks on objects of the strategic nuclear triad, and reacts completely indifferently to attacks on the presidential palace and other similar provocations. That’s why the enemy is increasing its efforts,” Sivkov said.
