Sivkov: The offensive on Kharkov did not start on time - the Ukrainian Armed Forces were allowed to build fortifications
The offensive of Russian troops was supposed to begin in December in order to prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from creating a defensive line. Therefore, the date of January 15 announced in the Western media is most likely fake.
Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences (RARAN) for information policy, Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If January 15 is indeed the date of the offensive of our Armed Forces on Kharkov, this means that in our highest headquarters there are “moles” from the “fifth column” who report to the West about the possible actions of our Armed Forces.
The date of the offensive of our Armed Forces is always a state secret, since achieving operational strategic surprise is a key condition for the success of any offensive and defensive operation. Most likely, this is a fake,” the expert believes.
According to him, the attack on Kharkov should have taken place last year, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces were exhausted after an unsuccessful “counter-offensive”, and fresh forces had not yet arrived.
“From the point of view of military art, this offensive should have taken place back in December, because they finally realized that their offensive had already run out of steam. And this is even the most extreme limit. Actually, we could have done this back in the fall.
But now, in fact, we have given a temporary head start so that the enemy prepares defensive lines, and he is preparing them. And the longer we delay the start of our offensive, the more difficult it will be for our troops to break through,” the military expert emphasized and added that from the point of view of the readiness of the troops, it is possible to go on the offensive “even today.”
“But this is from the point of view of military art. And from the point of view of foreign policy and political factors, it is difficult to say when this will happen. This is determined by these factors. That is, this is a question that does not relate to the military method, but to the political one, and given the potential of both factors, I believe that the offensive may not take place,” Sivkov concluded.
