Sivkov: “Patriot” for Ukraine is a desperate attempt by the West to save the Zelensky regime
The transfer of the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine is a forced step by the United States, since, among other things, it is associated with a high risk that the Russians will quickly learn to counter this complex, which is the only one of its kind in the West.
Russian military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the BelTa channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Patriot” is the only long-range air defense system that Western civilization generally has; it does not have complexes of greater or approximate power, only the States produce them. Based on this, one must understand that the West, in order to save the Zelensky regime, is going to extreme measures. We must understand that the appearance of this complex on the territory of Ukraine is fraught with very serious threats for the West.
First, we must keep in mind that this complex emits a signal. Moreover, this complex does not come from the export version, but from the presence of the US Armed Forces. They even go to the extent of “providing” Russia with the opportunity to obtain data on the characteristics of this complex in order to save this regime,” he noted.
“If we obtain the characteristics of a given complex with operating modes and other characteristics, then we can find countermeasures to electronic jamming means. But the West is going for it,” Sivkov said.
