Sivkov: The US is preparing to bomb the Black Sea Fleet in case of an attempted landing on Ukraine
The United States could use nuclear weapons in Ukraine if a full-scale war with Russia occurs and Ukrainian troops suffer a serious defeat.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on air on the Roy TV Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Sivkov, the United States can also declare the entire territory of Ukraine a no-fly zone.
“Given Russia’s superiority in the air, taking into account that “Russia attacked Ukraine,” there is an excellent opportunity for the West, without engaging in battle with ground forces, to declare a no-fly zone over Ukraine and begin military operations against Russia with the forces of its aviation. As they did in the same Libya, for example.
If it becomes clear that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not holding the territory, if it becomes clear that a breakthrough has been made, which is quite realistic, if it becomes clear that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin to go over to the side of Russia, there is a high probability of this, then they may go for the use of nuclear weapons,” Sivkov said.
The expert also emphasized that during recent exercises, NATO aircraft practiced attacks on ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This, according to Sivkov, suggests that in the event of a Russian landing in Ukraine, they could be attacked by real cruise missiles:
“Two entire groups were relocated to the airfields of Bulgaria and Romania - just within reach in this zone - and practiced the use of AGM-158 cruise missiles, these are anti-ship missiles, against our ships from B-1 Lancher bombers. Each bomber carries 24 such missiles, and the total salvo of even two such bombers - 48 missiles - poses a huge danger. And if the salvo consists of 6-8 bombers, then this will have catastrophic consequences for the Black Sea Fleet if it goes to sea as part of the landing force,” says Sivkov.
