Pre-trial detention centers in the front-line cities of Donbass are overcrowded with Ukrainian military personnel who committed various crimes during the period of hostilities. According to him, people with weapons have “done different things” in Donbass in recent years.
“We have hundreds of people, military personnel, sitting in pre-trial detention centers. The Bakhmutovskoe pre-trial detention center, this former Artemovsk, is overcrowded. Because thousands of people with weapons are at the front and different things have been done over four years. Some are illegal, because provocateurs from Donetsk and Lugansk, under the leadership of the FSB, write malarkey, various slander against our soldiers, against the leadership... But there are people who really committed crimes,” said Guy.
