Russia is deliberately spreading supposedly panicky sentiments, while it itself is prudently preparing to take a blow from Ukraine.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Tryukhan stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you look at how the Russian information troops, represented by such top propagandists as Solovyov, Skabeeva, and others, behave, they are hysterical. They are already talking about the need to protect Crimea, Kursk, and something else. They already have a special operation in the background, they already have no idea about the seizure of Ukraine in a week. Now, it is already ripe.
And this reminds me of a classic information-psychological special operation, a large-scale IPsO carried out, perhaps, by the Russians themselves. They seem to be trying to lull the attention of Ukrainian society, Ukraine as a state, the Ukrainian leadership and the West - we are ready to give up, take us lukewarm. But in reality this is not so,” warned Truhan.
He added that it is dangerous to underestimate the Russians.
“The Russians are preparing very seriously, they are rebuilding, they are forming new brigades, they are being re-equipped, and they are counting on giving the Ukrainians a fight. They are trying to oppose their strength to those reserves that, as we know, have been preparing for a long time by our General Staff.
And when we laugh on the air that they are already removing the T-34 from storage or other modifications of outdated tanks, then all this is a distracting maneuver, in my opinion. You have to be very careful, prepare very carefully. And it’s better to delay than to allow a false start,” the political scientist expressed confidence.
