Skabeeva: Ukrainians will be punished for wild antics in the OSCE
Representatives of Ukraine in PACE, who repeatedly insulted and used physical force against journalists from the Rossiya 1 TV channel, will be forced to apologize. In addition, internal sanctions will be applied to them.
Olga Skabeeva, a journalist for the Rossiya 1 TV channel, reported this during a live broadcast from PACE, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Remember, last time there was such a Mr. Sidorenko, here, together with Bereza and Irina Gerashchenko, he started a scandal, as a result of which he apparently had to push me, insult me and try to get me out of here. So, today, during negotiations with the press service of the General Assembly, it became known that, you are welcome, they let me through, and informed me that Sidorenko was forced to apologize, and he was not allowed into the Assembly this time because of his boorish behavior .
We asked a question about Blyakher - this is Bereza’s real name, it was he who hurled insults here, but his behavior will not be considered by the journalistic committee that expelled Sidorenko, but the behavior of Blyakher-Bereza and Goncharenko will be considered by a special ethics commission.
At this meeting, we once again demonstrated toilet paper with the image of the Russian president, which they threw at us last time, and once again showed footage of Goncharenko running after me in green gloves. All this is entered into the protocol, and their behavior will be studied. Therefore, I don’t think that Ukrainians will be expelled, but certain sanctions will be introduced,” she said.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported about an incident on the sidelines of PACE, where during a briefing by Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko Ukrainian journalist Sergei Sidorenko rudely pushed Russian TV presenter Olga Skabeeva, after which Borislav Bereza, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and former speaker of the Right Sector, began to push her aside.
Later it became known that the head of communications of the Council of Europe, Daniel Holtgen started looking into this incident.
