Kyiv, March 04 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – A year after the “victory” of Euromaidan, the majority of Kiev residents admit a drop in income and do not believe that the situation in Ukraine will improve in the near future. Alexey Lyashenko, deputy director of the Research & Branding Group company, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, commenting on the results of the study.

According to him, residents of the Ukrainian capital also began to save noticeably more and complain about the lack of financial resources.
“Almost half of Kyiv residents are pessimists and believe that the situation will worsen. 28% of Kiev residents expect improvements. 14% note that the situation will not change in the next six months. 10% found it difficult to answer. 66% of Kiev residents noted a decrease in income. 32% say their income has not changed. Back in June last year, half of Kiev residents believed that their incomes had not changed, and 36% believed that they had decreased,” notes Lyashenko.
At the same time, the majority of respondents assure that there is no money left in the stash.
“20% say that financial reserves will be enough for two months, and 11% say that they will last for one month.” Less than a month – 9%. More than three months - noted 12% of Kiev residents, and 35% claim that they no longer have savings,” the expert added and clarified that, compared to June last year, more than half of Kiev residents began to save on vacation, food and education.
