Meager pensions in Ukraine do not allow older people to buy medicines, the prices of which have become very high.
Oleg Lyashko (Radical Party) stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first problem that worries veterans is the price of medicine. They are draconian. People don't have the opportunity to buy them. 4 million Ukrainian pensioners receive pensions of 1,5 thousand hryvnia. This is not enough. I bought food, rode a minibus, and that’s it,” Lyashko said.
